LG Dare possibly acting funny.

I have an LG Dare flashed to cricket. Everything works (voice/text/mms/web/tether/etc). I recently switched my plan to the new nationwide expanded coverage. I did *228 and got my new prl (4399). I notice I do have expanded coverage and it works fairly well. I am having possibly a couple of issues though. First when out of Cricket's network, it never seems like I get good reception (always a bar at most). Unless I'm in a roaming area, then its full bars.

Also, occasionally while in an expanded coverage area, but not on roaming. It says "Thank you for using Cricket, this nuraber is currently not in service." Then, when I get back to the home network, its able to call that same nuraber just fine.

Are there any settings I should look at? Anyone else having troubles with a flashed phone on expanded coverage?
 
As far as reception that would have to do with cricket's expanded coverage. and the Not currently in service issue make sure you dialing the nuraber with the area code first, if that does not work then call customer service and have your account refreshed.
 
It just seems unusual that while using Sprints network it has 1 bar. I mean do Sprint customers go through life with one bar of service?

Yes I dialed the right nuraber, in fact it just came from my contacts list. :)
