LG Chocolate to Blackberry Pearl

I'm currently looking on ebay at some Blackberry Pearl phones. This phone is one that I want quite a bit. I currently have the LG Chocolate (2nd Version) with a family plan with Verizon. Will buying the Pearl and doing all the online SSN switches and what not cause any changes to the current plan I am on? Also, will it add any charges since it's a Blackberry...?

Yes, you cannot activate a Blackberry on the Verizon network witout a data plan (minimum of $29.99 per month). It doesn;t matter if you do the esn change or go into a store.
Also if you are looking at going to a Blackberry I would personally go to a Curve. The typing is a lot easier and the screen larger instead of using the multi-tap keyboard.

Hope this helps,
Jon

My wife had the chocolate 3 and now the pearl, I have the curve. Both Blackberries are great phones, but they do require an internet plan at $30 a month. My wife hated the tiny keys of the curve so got the pearl instead, I hate multi tap (the pearls is pretty good though) and wanted a full keyboard so I got the curve. The curve is a slightly better phone, but you wont go wrong with the pearl is size is an issue.
