lg choclate touch or samsung reality?

i need a phone thats great for texting and has a long battery life also i want a phone that has a headset jack that could fit my ipod's headfones i want the one that has better durlibaty too cuz i tend to drop mine a lot. should i get one of these fones or just wait for the verizon ipohne cuz i need to have this fon for 2 years and i need to like it
