Lexus IS300 vs. BWM 325i?

Im thinking of getting a car, and debating between a 2003 Lexus IS300 and a 2003 BWM 325i...what do you guys think is better, the prices are almost hte same, but where will the difference be felt in terms of long-term costs, enjoyment of the car, fuel costs, etc. etc.
