Lexus ES250 1990... question for the car guy?

My Lexus is a 1990 it has about 219,000 miles on it. So far it runs really great. I am wondering if it is worth it to put the work into that car or go and buy something a little newer? I know I would get barely anything if I tried selling it. Anything helps, thanks.
 
keep taking care of it and it will keep running good for a few more years,beats paying monthly car payments unless you have the cash for a new one.
