Lexapro

My doctor gave me samples of Lexapro and I took it for a month. He wrote me out a prescription for it and when I filled it it cost 64 dollars WITH insurance!! aparently they make no generic for it. has anyone else had this problem?? Has anyone had any success with any other antidepressants with minimal side effects??

I'm sorry you're paying so much for your Lexapro, but it sounRAB like your insurance is covering some of it, because I paid about $85/month without insurance. And that was after shopping around for the lowest price.

I like Lexapro because for me, it cures my depression without making me feel more tired, the way Zoloft can.

The main side-effect I have is weight gain (about half a pound a month.)

However, it does nothing whatsoever for my anxiety... :(
