Lexapro Question

I am on my 2nd day of Lexapro, I started at 5 mg for severe anxiety. Did you have a foggy feeling like you weren't here? I am also dizzy, scared and have pains in my head. Are these normal symptoms?? Did you feel weird when you first started?
 
i did have this feeling on lexapro for the first few days and it went away but by week three other things occured so i stopped it... it will go away though..good luck.. kinda makes you feel out of body eh? its scary but it passes
 
I was started on 10 mg of Lexapro 6 years ago and have not had any trouble with it at all.

Yes those were definitely syptoms i had when I had first started taking Lexapro the first time. Even the second time I started back up on it recently I got more panic attacks, felt dizzy and felt like I wasnt really there. It passed for me about a week or so after so hang in there and try to give it a good try. Also the doctor might want to adjust your dosage if you still continue to feel that way and then if that doesnt work you might wanna try a different medication. I just weaned off the Lexapro because it wasnt really working for me anymore and now Im starting Zoloft I cant notice anything yet though. Best of luck!
 
My dr.gave me lexapro to try and the second day I felt the way you are feeling but I also started feeling VERYaggitated and started having some extreme violent thoughts so I stopped taking it and the next time I saw my dr. he was glad I did said that was some of the side affects.
 
I also take Lexapro and what you are feeling is normal. You will feel kinda out of sorts for a few days...just rest, take advantage of staying home, it will pass.
I am at 20mgs....I actually feel great, or alot better. I suffer from other things but I can't imagine life without my Lexapro now. Huge help in my day to day activities!
You will be just fine.
 
I have been on lexapro for 10 years. It should not have those side effects and 2 days is not enough time to show any thing
