what do you guys think? bottle says not to drink, but psychiatrist says it's ok. not a toxic corabo, just need to be careful because it can magnify the effect. alcohol is a depressant she says, so if you are taking lexapro for depression it can render it useless...i would be taking lexapro for OCD, so she says it probably would be ok. what do you guys think? took zoloft last year for 3 months and drank a lot on it...wondering if that's why it didn't work. just hate it that the bottle says "DO NOT DRINK".

I, like you, am on a SSRI (Luvox) for OCD. I would imagine you are on a fairly high dose, as you are usually put on a higher dose for OCD. If you decide to drink, I would keep it at one to two drinks. Yeah, it might kind of stink (trust me, I love a good beer with my football), but it's the card we were dealt. I would rather stick to a beer or two every once in a while, than risk making a fool of myself, at best, from having more. That's just my opinion, but it's been a good rule of thurab for me during the time I've been on SSRIs.

I drank all the time on it, i was apprehensive at first because of the warnings but it didn't seem to trash me too bad. I did moderate myself though. Drink cautiously.
