My father picked up this bird ( pigeon family but don't know its species ) near a roadside walking and nearly got squash, since there's lots of cars and it's at night and the place is like a forest with lots of trees so its hard to see where the birds nest is and he can't leave him there or he will get squashed. He's about 3weeks old and he's able to fly eat and drink, me and my father are thinking to release him back into the wild, but I'm afraid he won't be able to find food and water by itself, since its not in captivity for long, he might be able to live in the wild again?
