The internet and TV stations are down, grocery and other stores have been looted, the dollar is literally worthless... and there is no reliable information as to what triggered it, just rumors.
Who or what would you be most likely to assume is to blame?
a) Barack Obama and the Democrats (with help from intelligence and security agencies)
b) G.W. Bush, Dick Cheney and other neo-conservative Republicans (with help from intelligence and security agencies)
c) Another country's government/military
d) Radical Muslim terrorists

I don't know whether or not our president is just a puppet to corruption beyond our understanding and comprehension (stuff can't even imagine him being involved with)
Overall I say it goes way further back, to FDR and his massive spending, last good president was coolidge IMO.

Where exactly is this "civilization" you speak of?
G. The world has been significantly altered many times before by some event of nature or a collision with an asteroid or something. It is a part of the planets history and will be again. It is not a matter of if, just a matter of when.
The politicians cannot completely shut down the complete infrastructure of the country, much less the planet unless they initiate a global nuclear war.
It is important to remember that the planet has been here for millions of years, yet we only have a record of what happened in the last several thousand. what happened before that and why has man advanced so rapidly in what seems to be a relatively short period of time. It seems to me that great civilizations likely existed before and were wiped out, only to start again. most if not all ancient cultures from around the globe have stories of great events that destroyed what was known of the world at that time.
We get caught up in ourselves and don't realize what an insignificant speck we really are in the universe.
