..Tmo is not getting the Bold until "Nevuary 1st"? The Storm is Verizon only..and all we get get is the punk *** G1??Am I going to have to switch carriers just to get a cool phone??This is startin to suck!!

I tell all my TMO friends to switch.....

I can sit here at my desk with my ATT BB phone or my co-workers Verizon BB phone...both the same models and we both have 90% signal

I can then ask my other co-worker to come in with his TMO BB phone....all the same model...all running on the same OS and BES and he has no signal on his TMO BB....

In order to activate a TMO BB on my BES I have to go stand outside for 10-15 mins and wait for it to activate......and I am in Downtown Los Angeles...so there is a tons of signal ..

plus...mid 2009 early 2010 rumor has it that there will only be 2 carriers in the US....ATT and Verizon...

You'll hear network signal stories like that everywhere. My gf has Verizon, I have T-Mo. In her old apartment, she had to go outside to use her Verizon phone (also Cincinnati Bell - her work cell). I always had 3-4 bars inside the apartment. My old apartment, no one had a decent signal! Cincinnati Bell, T-Mo, Verizon, Sprint - we all had to go outside to talk.

About there only being 2 carriers in us sounds like bull. For those that don't know Tmo is the largest cellphone company worldwide, maybe not in the us but a great portion of cell users in us use Tmo. The rumor is a myth and I doubt Tmo will be leaving US anytime soon

I have to chime in on this discussion living in the MS/LA area. Prior to hurricane Katrina I was with att using a Palm Treo and I never had signal problems all the way from Jackson, MS to either Baton Rouge or New Orleans,LA. Now after Katrina A. T. T. Is constantly dropping calls when I make that trip and not just for me, all of my co-workers constantly raise ****. I made the swap to Alltel, big mistake, then I swapped to T-MO against everyones advice. I travel the entire SE US and will have to say even though it may not be a T-MO tower I very rarely ever loose signal. My only complaint is there lack of motivation in getting the new phones and especially new Blackberries. Big deal about the Pearl2 or whatever its called. Remember many years ago our government busted ATT up.I would love to see it happen again. BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

Tmo is rumored to not be getting the bold- but a smaller version called Javelin ( think Bold like 88xx series and Javelin like curve 83xx series)

Tmo is also rumoring that they will be getting a thunder/storm very soon aswell.
USA storm is currently CDMA verizon but there is a UK , GSM version on Verdaphone. The Verda 3g is not compatable with Tmo 3G so dont get the unlocked version unless u only want EDGE network.

Both rumored to be released between late november till late january- but expect it to be right around or after holidays

It's frustrating to be a BB user on T-mobile. I remember last year with the introduction of the Curve, first on ATT then arduously waited 6 months for 8230 on T-mobile. On top of that, 3G is not compatible with any other network in the world. All we get are reconstituted Edge devices such as the new Flip. It's nice but it's a whole lot nicer if we get a BB device along with the other carriers at the same time. As of right now, there is no point to unlock the bold or the storm when the 3g doesnt work.

TMO is getting worst and worst, I'm tired of having a full upgrade and I can't even use it because we get crap for phones, the G1 is a great OS in a 1980s phone in my opinion, I don't like the style and you can't plug a regular headset into it. The flip pearl, to me is a insult its a budget bb that TMO tried to hype up in the sence of "OH LOOK WE ARE GETTING NEW BB LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!!!!" all I can say is EPIC FAIL! I'm about 2 days way from jumping ship.

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~you really don't know what else tmo has up there sleeves I mean right it only looks like they have limited phones but like all companies. They will wait till december for the christmas rush to bring out there other cell phones. Weather its bb or not. You just have to wait and see.

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~and every network has there ups and downs it depends on where you live.

and here is why.....VALUE. I started with a regular flip phone, then a sidekick II, then my first BB, which was a pearl. Loved it! Gave the pearl to my Daughter and bought myself an unlocked 8800. Loved it. Now I own an 8120. Love it!

Last year I had the opportunity to travel cross country from California to Florida, and then back again. I took highway 10 out there and highway 40 back just for grins. I never lost a signal or paid a roaming charge the entire way out there and back.....EVER. On top of that I have been "shopping the competition" over the years just to find that they are all at least twice as much money on plans that do not measure up to what I have now with TMO. I understand why TMO doesn't have the phones you all want. They are in the process of building and completing and completely testing their new 3G network. They have always prided themselves on delivering a stable and tested experience for their valued customers before releasing anything. Being a former IT manager I can't tell you how much I really appreciate this, as my BB is the only phone I own. Sure, I would love to have a storm when it finally is ready for prime time, but I would also like to get some use out of my 2 month old 8120 before moving on to it. I'm not so worried about what phone I use as much as the service and value I recieve from my carrier. It's just a phone, and I use it everyday, and all of it's functions always work no matter where I go. Relaibility and value....what a concept.
