my kid is about to hit the peak of his adolescent youth & i don't think he's developed his own sense of what is required & what is acceptable as a young man.
I mean, I don't care that, to this day, my kid like power rangers still even though its fake, i just care enough that he doesn't start telling people that, you know? Also, i don't want to carve him as a man to thinks UFC is the best thing in the world & start wearing Tap-out shirts like a redneck d-bag. Just make the dude into a proper civil man, ya know?
I'm already aware of some basic things i should teach him( the lesson about women will be for another time), which i'll make in list form:
1. If you have to poop really badly, you got to suck it up & use the men's room stall, no matter how disgusting it is. Hover over the toilet if you must. If there is no restroom nearby, improvise.
2. Have to learn how to take a punch properly( involving breathing & stuff)
3. Be calm & civil toward other kids during an argument
4. If you have to fight( don't "have" to fight, see #3) don't take the fighting stance first
5. Raise tolerance toward spicy food. Example: Hot Cheetos
6. get a deep voice
7. be courteous & respect everybody else's opinions
8. Never complain over the little things
9. Stay cool, stay clean
10. its very unappropriate to stare
thats all i got at the top of my head. What other lessons have i missed?
thanks for your input
