Hi,
I bought 2 leopard geckos a month ago from a nice lady who couldn't look after them any more. All the books say it's ok to have a male and a female together. They have been together for a year, since they were very young. We've not had any issues until this week. They were happily sharing the big hide, but we have noticed that the female has stared using the small hide.
Tonight we noticed the male having a go at her, he nipped her tail, and went for her midsection and neck and went to climb on top of her.
Is this a normal phase they will go through and get past, or is it something more sinister? It will be a few weeks before I can afford to get the equipment needed to set up a seperate vivarium, and I'd rather not because of the extra space. They usually seem so happy together!
Thanks
