i received a settlement offer from a collection agency and i want to know if its enough for me to send out a money order or should i get them to send me a more detailed offer to protect me from being pursued for the rest of the balance later on.

it has my info and their info, creditor info.date (2weeks ago)
IT SAYS
the named creditor has agreed to accept 50 percent of the balance listed aboved or $xxx as a lump sum settlement of the account. This offer will remain valid for a minimum of 45 days from the date of this letter and may be extended for an addtional period.
then they have info on how to pay online and info about i have 30 days to to dispute validity. blah blah and then it talks about the creditor sending me a 1099c form if certain amounts are discharged...
so if i want to pay this settlement is this letter all i need for proof that they sent me a settlement lettter? or should i request a SIGNED letter from one of their agents?
if this letter here is enough should i just send a money order and a letter stating that i want a letter sent back to me once they receive payment ,stating that the account is now officially settled in full?
its for a 1yr old cc debt
