I have a 1971 cb350k twin. I built it from the ground up and bought all the parts separately. I dont have a title because all parts were bought separately. Just got it running today. There is no title and it is not in the system. No insurance and not registered. I got it running and let my friend (has expired motorcycle permit) test drive it. He was 6 houses down and was going straight and a car pulled a fast stop and turned right into the driveway. He swerved to the right and crashed into the right mirror side of the car. My friend broke his arm and my bike is pretty banged up and was impounded. What is the most beneficial stance i can take legally? Can i be sued? I am 17 my friend is 19. I let him ride my bike because i use his yard as my workshop. the lexus sedan accumulated approx 3000 in dam. my bike can be fixed with 1500. what will happen to me for no having registration or insurance. My friend does have a vespa with insurance but no license. please help. no false info please.
