My step brother lives with his mom. When he was 1 year old his dad and his mom went to court to decide who should have legal 'ownership' of him and it was agreed that he would live with his mom. It was also agreed that his dad would have him on a Wednesday and a Saturday and he would live with his mom the rest of the time. He is now 12 years old and his mom is making it very difficult for his dad to see him. His dad is a responsible parent and is going through hell just to see his son it's pathetic. His dad is going to go to a solicitor and my step brother says that he would rather spend more time with his dad than with his mom. So my question is if his dad does go to a solicitor would my step brother get a say in who he would like to spend more time with. Bearing in mind he is 12? Any help would be much appreciated as we are desperate.

I when I said 'ownership' I meant custody I just coulden't think of the word at the time. Sorry.
