Hi, in the school grounds my daughter was accused of throwing a shoe that belonged to a pupil, into a hedge. My daughter said she did not throw it into the hedge only to the pupil that threw it to her & named the pupil that did .Well I have to believe my daughter. The school have passed this onto a Lawyer who is threatening to take me to court for £45.00 for a new pair of shoes to replace the old shoe that was thrown.I wrote a letter back to the Lawyer explaining everything that happened on that day & I received a letter from him again today demanding this money.
I saw on the tv the other night of something similar & the advice was the second hand value of the original shoes should be paid.
Can anyone please tell me my legal rights as I cant get through to the C.A.B
Hope this all makes sense.
Thank you. Jx
