Leg Pain

Just today my husband started to have leg pain (no injuries)
while lying in bed. He also felt light headed while still lying there. He finally got up it felt a little better, but as the day went on it started to get painful again, leg has some swelling.
What could this be?

Could be a lot of things, such as a clot, or cellulitis, or related to a condition such as congestive heart failure or diabetes. Might want him to get a complete physical by the doctor.
