In 2004 I had very vaugue leg pains and went to my doctor. He began treating me for Sciatica with ant-inflamatory drugs. As the weeks progressed, I began limping rather badly and after about 5.weeks of continued pain I had to get myself a walking stick because my limp was getting worse and I could hardly put my right leg to the ground. My doctor still kept telling me I was suffering from sciatica.Things got very very bad and by ten weeks, I had to resort to a wheelchair,could not control my bladder and bowels and was screaming in pain for someone to help me. I was rushed into hospital where I had an MRI scan and found to have a Synovial Cyst in my lower luraber spine and was rushed down to theatre where it was removed and the pain went away instantly in my legs. I was very lucky because had I left it any longer I would have lost the use of my legs by something called Cauda Equina Syndrome. My surgeon told me to walk a lot so I started clirabing mountains and I have never looked back. Has anyone else suffered with a Synovial Cyst like this.........Bintygirl
