Leg pain gone

I was diagnosed with listhesis L3-4 and a blown disc last year. I was having horrible leg pain for about 8 months. Couldn't walk for longer than 10 minutes. All of a sudden my leg pain almost gone. How could this be? I have canceled my surgery that was schedules for August 13. Can anyone explain this?
