Ever since I had my daughter last year the top of my leg (from the knee up) aches and feels heavy. Almost like it's asleep, but not nurab/tingly. I let it go for over a year and then a few months ago the feeling started moving down my leg to my ankle. I finally went a saw my orthopedic doctor and I had an MRI done. I got the results today and I have 3 buldging discs in my lower back. I've been doing physical therapy now for the last 3 weeks and my therapist said he's never heard of someones entire leg being effected. He said it's normally the back of the leg or the front of the leg....not the entire leg. After I got my MRI results from my doc today I mentioned this to him and he kind of blew my question off. I'm having a hard time understanding why a buldging disc is causing my entire leg to be effected. Since I started therapy the bottom of my leg (knee down) is started to go back to normal, but I haven't had any changes at all with the top of my leg. My therapist is afraid I have permenant damage since I've let it go for so long. My doc now wants me to have epidural injections. I'm definitely confused. Do you think my leg problem is really a result of back issues?

Very well can be due to your back. I have similar issues, and my left leg is very weak, can't lift it easily. Keep working on using it, to keep all muscles that you can functioning.
