I accidentally drove my honda accord 2.5 miles with the E brake engaged. it smoked for a few seconds and quit. I can't afford new brake shoes or to take it to the shop, so would it be safe to assume that I just wore off some of the brake material? i just want to make sure it's not dangerous to drive.
