LED headlamp

Dunno about anyone else but I am more excited about this than any new product in a long time. Brighter and more efficient light with long life give me a warm fuzzy.

So much so I am in the process of trying to get a group buy of some kind going. I need to get one of these.

BrihtAssLights is supposed to have an LED replacement for the driving lamps out soon. I would like to try those out first.

I work as a lighting technician in the motion picture buisness and use LED lights. The LED's do not throw the light very far, the reflector is going to have to do that. They are bright to look at, but as far as light output at say 100', they are going to fall short of a traditional quartz bulb or even an HID. I have an HID on my bike and like it as far as people seing me, but as far as performance (seeing far ahead), I think the upgraded HD unit is better. JMO

I use http://www.xenonrider.com/products/h4_bixenon_hid_kits.shtml for their HID bulb and ballast. I use the slim ballast (extra $15) for easier mounting options. It puts out three times more light and uses a third of the voltage a 55 watt halogen uses. No high heat like the halogens.

I used these in several bikes both street and off-road with zero issues.

Takes less than an hour to install.
