led aquarium lights inquiry?

anybody have an opinion on marineland double bright led aquarium lights? i have a 55 gal im settin up, 4 ft long, reviews on the product say they arent 4 ft but extend to 4 ft. whats the length of the light itself? how much shorter is it? will i have dark spots on each end of the tank? thanks for any input
