Leaving your shoes tied??? (10pts)?

my friend never ties he reeboks when he wears them
i think that there's a special knot (which he slips under the tongue of the shoe)
i was wondering if you are supposed to lace the last 2 holes and if their's supposed to be some other knot??
 
oh yeah...i used to tye my tennis shoes like that too. here's what i did...i laced my shoes up all the way, then tyed my shoe, kind of loose on the bottom knot, then slipped the whole thing behind the tongue. it kept for a long time...till i got tired of it!!
