Leaving SERO for Nexus one?

My current situation:
BB Curve on Sprint sero. 500 min/unlimited text and data. $30/month.

I barely use minutes on this phone. It's a toy. Moving to the Nexus one will be $80/month for the same stuff. But, it will be a cooler toy phone, and I can offset the extra $50 with tethering instead of my home internet, yes?

For internet and texting, what would you do?

How is the coverage on Sprint in your area? That will play an important factor in deciding if you should switch, especially if you will be dependent on it for home internet. You will need to check the coverage of your new provider to see if matches Sprint. You should do that first, before deciding if you want to jump ship and possibly go to a much worse provider.

I have tmobile and sprint now, they both work fine at home.

I just find that I am running around so much with the kids that portable internet would be better than my faster cable modem for when I don't have wifi. I tend to use my curve more than my laptop when it comes to quick checks, so the big screen and more internet centric device seems to make sense. I'd need to be able to tether on wifi since both my kids have laptops. They won't notice the speed difference on webkinz :)
