I live in the Philadelphia area and am a Verizon customer. I have a Motorola e815 which I'm happy with -- but was only happy with after I applied the hack that allowed me to use bluetooth & the memory card to transfer pictures and ringers.
The charger "port" on the phone is mostly broken, which makes it very difficult to charge the phone. I have been swapping batteries with my wife (who also has an e815) every day or two -- using hers to do all the charging. This is getting old.
I'm assuming that no one fixes this sort of problem and I need to just get a new phone.
I can just get another e815 (this is certainly an option) and hack it -- but if Verizon has another newer phone that one can put ringers on (and get photos off of) I would be interested -- as long as the hack (if any) is not more complicated than what I had to do for the e815.
One option may be to see if I can get a cdma phone that works on Verizon's network, but does not have the crippled verizon software loaded ... maybe on e-bay.
Any advice?
