What are the necessary steps to being able to ride a sports bike? I'm 20, live in NY, and currently have a driver's license. I just did some research on it - apparently I can take courses. But the courses are held at various community colleges; do I need to be a student there in order to take these courses? I don't know anyone with a bike so my best bet would probably be take a course to get my sports bike license instead of popping in my local DMV right, since the courses provide the bikes?
