learning psychology books? studying the human brain? thanks in advance :)?

hi there,
i'm very interested in mental illness's (depression, bi polar, etc) and in studying the human brain and why certain things are the way they are, and what caused it.

i'm looking for some books that teach you how to read people, help you learn about mental illness's etc stuff like that,

any suggestions?
