if i focus on perl, will it be a great advantage for me when i apply for jobs?
is it the in-demand must-have qualification for someone who will apply for a job that requires programming?
I would find it surprising if embedded systems used Perl (it's interpreted and rather large). The more likely languages are C and various flavors of assembly (which flavors will depend on the processors or controllers you're programming for).
