Leading manufacturers unite against Google

Worried about the ever-growing popularity of Google's Android platform, four of the leading manufacturers have united in order to stand a chance against the global threat. Apple, Palm, RIM and LG have announced that together they will work on a new revolutionary operating system, as well as on an extensive lineup of smartphones that will utilize it.

Of course, these upcoming devices will take advantage of the best qualities that can be found in the companies' present models. According to APRL's (that's how the alliance is called) press-release, we can expect smartphones with a simple and clean design, SurePress touchscreen with an aspect ratio of 51:9 (that's LG's part) and a magnificent hardware QWERTY keyboard. The software will not support multitasking, but will benefit from an enormous app storefront and outstanding business capabilities. The first phone to run the new OS will appear sometime in Q1 2011 (probably on Feb 30).

Haha, the day RIM, Palm, and Apple (and to a lesser extent, LG) end up forming some kind of coalition -- is the day Bill Gates becomes the CEO of Microsoft again.

This is Just rumors but from good sources and always is good to know,Like in the Stock MarketSome Rumor can make You Make thousands in the Stock Market like the iPhone

I'm sure it's some April Fools thing, haha

RIM hates Apple and vice versa, so I'd find it surprising that the leading business smartphone maker would be friendly with Apple. That's their competition actually.

LG has already put out Android phones, and can only benefit from it since they're losing marketshare with their proprietary OS's.

And Palm...well, I'd believe it if Palm and LG teamed up. Palm is projected to go under by years end and would hang on to anyone's coattails if offered a chance..

I try to think for something new if not next year I PM you before I post and you show like you don't know nothingHeHeHe
