I'm an Army ROTC cadet from Texas A&M going to LDAC this summer. I want to branch Infantry and I want to know the process of getting selected for that branch. I currently have a 3.0 GPA overall. Also, I don't really understand how branch detailing works. (Example) If I branch detail MI with Infantry, am I an Infantry officer for the first few years and then switch to MI or vice versa? Will doing a branch detail increase my chances of being Infantry?
