LCD Tv..Sony? Panasonic? Phillips? Vizio? Which is best?

I am looking to replace my old school tube tv for a new one. I have decided to go with LCD and not Plasma. I also decided to stick with the same size that I have now which is 32". Just don't want to spend arm and leg on Tv plus new entertainment center for a bigger one. So, 32" and the nice entertainment center I already have. My living room isn't that big and I think that size would be fine. Prices seem to range from $300-$450. This tv will be used for movies(dvd, might get blu-ray one day), regular use and lots of gaming. Which brand should I get? Also, I have a stereo I'd like to hook up to it instead of buying a separate home theater surround sound type thing. And of course it's NOT digital audio. Help. There are so many options, my head hurts from reading about them all. I really don't want to go over $400(including tax). I don't know that I trust a Vizio, not a brand name to me.
Well, I guess you learn something new everyday! I always thought Vizio was a Walmart special! lol! I was really looking at a Sony Bravia? I think that's what it's called. Also, I don't have dishtv or anything. Not offered where I am. I have cable that hooks up with coaxial thingy. It has HD channels and all that though, but not all of them. Does that matter? And the one I was looking at said something about 720...at Sears.
