Lawyer's please help! Did I break the law?

Okay so i was over at a co-workers house. Me and him and his wife were going to go drink, so he got a sitter to watch the kids. Sitter is super cute i am told she is 18, i am 27...weeks go by and i see her again and ask for her number. I ask her age and she says 18...i ask that question like 3 times and same answer. Few days later i ask her out and she said yes. I picked her up at her house and her mom waves her goodbye. We go to the mall, and we talk and hang out while i do some shopping, we then grab a bite to eat, talk some more and I take her back home. No kiss, no nothing other than her hitting my shoulder because i was teasing her joking around. Well a few days go by and we talk through texts. Just normal stuff. No immature or sexual content. Just normal "hi how is your day going" etc. well she eventually tells me she lie and that she is not 18 but 17.....i really like his girl but, she is underage.....so i tell her all i can be for now is just a friend. Her mother calls me the next day to just talk to me, i talked to her mother, and explain that i had no idea she was 17, and i would have never considered asking her out had i known, well turns out I had a nice conversation with her and i asked her if she was okay if we(me and her daughter) just talk just as friends from time to time. She said yeah etc etc. But my question is. Did i do something wrong? i have this feeling something bad is going to come my way. Did i brake the law? i live in arizona. I have this gut feeling that i should just do a tactical retreat and flake out, into the sun set.
