Here is the information...
As you know, I recently got the Hearing Judge fully favorable decision letter that say that I was disabled since birth and that I found disabled. The past benefit is in process as I speak.
Here is the situation..
I am living with my mom, stepfather, and grandmother. My grandmother collect Social Security retirement. My stepfather is unemployed and married to my mom last year.
I having a credit report issues that was mostly on my mom's fault after using my Social Security number and name "without freedom to say NO if I may add"
Well, mom told me that I signed as a co-signer for a lease for my apartment. I told her that I don't remember and she said that they will get one. If I did, as usual I signed because there was no other choice through freedom especially being unemployed, financially broke, and having physical/mental issues of my disabilities.
I was told, that the eviction notice... the eviction notice was going to be on my credit report. This doesn't sound very good, I don't think eviction is a hinderance to a waiting list for apartment for "Section 8".
The fact is that I NEVER got a meeting with the landlorder or given the latest update of what was owed or if I was behind rent. I WAS left out like I am non-existant.
The question is, if I WERE as a Co-Signer, is the landlord legally responsible to let the co-signer know?
Can they issue a eviction notice on a co-signer's credit report?
Can they evict me after I got proof of paper that I am disabled?
I don't really like paying my mom's debt especially when I got ton of it on my credit report.
Can you give me some legal avenues? Can I counter-sued or sues for being misinformed?
I will update this question when you posted the answer. Thank you!
Chiliswoman, tenant or co-signer?
What is the difference? Tenant or Co-signer?
If I was name as the Tenant, then?
If I was name as the Co-signer, then?
If it isn't Notorize, can I get by?
Notorize... .... I facing $2,500 for rent.
Unfortunately, I must choose to be passive but avoid her to keep piling debts on my credit report.
There are different reasons for me to get into Section 8, this is one of it.
This show to you all and those who reading that I DON'T live a EASY or "kiddie" life.
This also mean not sueing her.
