I was watching this TV programme called the World's Strictest Parents, it's a TV series in Britain about troublesome British teens that are sent, by their choice, to other countries to strict families in hope the experience will change them for the better.

This one programme, was in Oklahoma and this one girl Kara age 16 and boy Jay age 17 were sent to this family who've fostered quite a few children and adopted about 5 themselves and have one biological daughter. The dad called Stacey (yes that is his name, it's a girl's name lol) is a police chief and had dealt with loads of troublesome kids before, though these two Brit teens were a big challenge and the girl ended up giving up and going back to England.

Both teens smoked, drank a lot of alcohol and use to getting their way all the time and the boy Jay had taken drugs, but Kara, the girl, could not deal with not getting her way or having a fag when she wanted one and she ran away, they showed her packing her bag and leaving the house and starting to walk down the pavement, the narrator then said "what Kara does not know that it is illegal in Oklahoma for youngsters to run away from home" and i was like.... what the f***?! and Stacey sent one of his colleges to go get her, the narrator had said things like smoking and swearing and taking drugs (though drugs is illegal for everyone in the UK too) was illegal for youngsters to do but when they said it was illegal for minors to runaway that was the final shock that made me just... gob smacked lol. When Kara had gone home, Jay, the boy was given permission by his parents to be taught by the Stacey the police chief to show Jay how to fire guns on a shooting range, and i started to think is Oklahoma like most other American states and allow the public to own guns?? Are the public allowed to own guns???? But then they have these silly laws about youngsters not allowed to drink, smoke or runaway... ??

In the UK we can smoke legally at 16, drink at 18 and can runaway though it’s not a good idea unless things are really bad but there are things like emergency Childline that youngsters can call for help if things at home are that bad, but what i heard about Oklahoma laws, it’s just so strange!!!!

(sorry i’ve typed so much, please read much as you can and answer my questions, i tried to shorten it much a possible hehe)
Oh yes and no one in the UK but people like farmers and the rare members of the pubic can get licenses to own guns, but we can do other things like drink and smoke.
