One of the first questions on my law school application is "Do you consider yourself Hispanic/Latio?"
Technically, I am 1/8 Sephardic (Jews from Spain) on my mother's side. My great-grandmother's name was Rosa and she spoke Ladino (Judeo-Spanish).
I was raised mostly by my father's family (stereotypical WASPs), have an English surname, and had no "Latino" upbringing.
Would I count as "Hispanic/Latino"?
