is it possible to do law with just economics and sociology? my cousins doing this and im pretty sure he needs a law a-level. this is in the uk ofcourse

You don't need a law A level, in fact some Universities have quite a strong preference for you not to have it - because the way you learn law is rather different at degree level.

Only having two A levels will certainly be an issue at some of the top universities, but he may be able to get in.

If there's a reason why he's only doing two, such as having to support himself through substantial paid work or having family responsibilities, then he should highlight this very strongly in his personal statement - he MAY just be able to get in with less than the usual requirements if that's the case.

Economics tends to be on the preferred A level list for those Unis that have them, while sociology is 'neutral' (and something like travel and tourism would be 'poor')

you mean your only studying those two topics at A level and want to do a law degree when you go to university? If you're only studying for two A levels then it might be difficult cos you wont get enough ucas points to go to the better universities. Good law schools usually ask for an AAB or AAA a level results. but if you have a look on www.ucas.ac.uk then you will be able to see which universities offer law and to see what the entry requirements are. My ex- uni, University of Birmingham does not require law students to have studied law at a-level, but again every uni is different and you need to check out the entry requirments- best place is on www.ucas.ac.uk

you do not need a law A level (I'm a law student and I didn't take law as an A level) but I think he might need another A level I think you need to do at least 3 - but it does depend on the uni that she is applying to - they have different entry requirements
