I know people with law degrees who have not taken the bar admission examination who work for state government, who work at banks as trust officers, and others who work at corporations as regulatory compliance officers.

There have always been attorneys who work for publicly-funded legal aid offices, as well as people who provide criminal defense for the indigent.

Law degrees are also important for those who work for Greenpeace, various conservation groups, etc.

During my career, I was a trust officer, a regulatory compliance officer, an employee of a real estate title company, and a teacher of paralegal studies.
