Saw this last night, thought it was fantastic. First action film i've seen in a while that hasn't had me nearly sleeping.

Anyone else seen it? :cool:
 
I really wanted to see Gamer and when I did it was the biggest pile of w@nk I'd seen in years. I hope these Gerard Butler films aren't all going the same way, the trailer makes it look so much better than it actually is. I might go and see this during the week, as long as it doesn't turn out to be such a crushing disappointment like Gamer was.
 
Imo the trailer didn't even show how good it is to be fair. Really has been one of the best movies i've seen this year. Thought the performances from both main actors was fantastic.

didn't know who i wanted to side with. On the one hand you have a very sadistic killer who was spurred on to do this because of how warped the justice system was, then on the other hand you have someone who makes deals with people he knows is a murderer to keep his conviction rate high. Should those people be taught a lesson because of their decisions?

Very very good movie though.
 
Interesting because it's had such terrible reviews.

I love the trailer and am going to see it this week on Thursday but all the reviews I've seen have been damning.

Just got back from seeing it - an amazing film! A lot of laughs as well even though you think that you shouldn't laugh due to the nature of the film. Gerard and Jamie were excellent
 
I think that the reason why I found it better than I had expected is because the explanation of "how" was different from what I had expected from the trailer.
 
I saw this with some mates last night and about half the group thought it was great whilst the other half, including myself, were a tad underwhelmed. A good solid action thriller but I found it a little too predictable and derivative tbh 6/10
 
Saw this last night and have to say I quite enjoyed it. Some of it was over the top predictable crap, but it was a mindless 2 hours of popcorn fun. 8/10.

AND I BET YOU TAKE IT UP THE ASS!!!
 
Haha! That scene was a litmus test for the movie amongst the group I went with, as 5 jumped when that happened and they all loved the movie. Whilst the other 3 of us didn't- obviously we've watched too many thrillers over the years so almost nowt can surprise us any more :cry:
