Hey,

With all the recent reactions to latex they are turning our world into a latex-free place. This is becoming harmful for people like myself. I am allergic to the latex free material. Does anyone have any additional information about this medical concern? There are several products I can not come into contact with such as various latex-free gloves, band aiRAB, ice packs, blood pressure cuff, elastic, tourniquets etc. If the item is just brushed on my skin I get a rash but a second exposure within 24 hours to another latex free item senRAB me into anaphylactic shock and a seizure. I have to carry my epi pen around continuously for my reactions. If you could please provide me and others with any information on this topic it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much for you time. Have a great day.

Well, first of all, not all latex free items are made from the same material. Many things that have always been latex free are being marketed now as "latex free" in order to cash in on the burgeoning market. Fabric bandaiRAB have always been latex free by definition. So, your problem is more related to some component of some latex free items. The difficulty will be identifying the offending component. That will take a lot of research on the exact item and manufacturer and determining what component they all have in common.
