Okay, just so I understand: If I celebrate that a black got elected, I'm "progressive." If I celebrate that a black DIDN'T get elected, I'm a "racist."
So far this morning, I have heard that if the stock market drops, it isn't Obama's fault. It's Bush's fault, even though the CRA is a Democratic creation, and the Republicans tried repeatedly to get past the Democratic obstacles to reforming Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
I just heard Obama say, "Oh, gee, I might not be able to do all the shit I promised in a single term." Since he was AWOL from his Senate job to campaign, I can see why he's planning to spend his entire first presidential term campaigning for re-election. And making excuses.
I offer a bet to the first 15 people to agree to it in this thread. We already know that a tax increase will occur right away, because Obama wants to give all of the idiots time to forget about it by the next election.
He has promised at every speech that he will only raise taxes on the top 5% of wage earners. I'll Paypal $10 to the first 15 people who agree to it in this thread if the income taxes of the top 20% of wage earners don't go up under the plan he signs. Of course, if the taxes do go up on at least the top 20%, those same people need to Paypal me $10. Any takers?
The new taxes and lost tax breaks for businesses will make everything you pay for more expensive, but nobody seems to make that connection. We can listen to all of the whining about increased costs and lost jobs on another day.
