Latency in Northeast US?

Just curious if its specific to just the New England area or a widespread increase in network latency?

I'm on an 8700g and have been using OS 4.2.1.66 for a while now, but I've definitely seen a major shift in how quickly and thoroughly (read:completely loaded web page; all images) even simple, mobile-oriented webpages (such as Engadget, etc.) load-times, and its not for the better.

Also, I'm in Boston, MA in the US.
