Laser is very good for red marks but not the best thing for pitted scarring. It will get rid of the redness very fast but don't expect a lot for the pits. You'll need lots of treatments before you can see some improvement which could be no more than 30% - 40%. A friend of mine did a few lasers and she got 30% improvement. I suggest you talk to a doctor and ask if he has any success stories. Ask how many treatments are needed and what kind of results you can expect, i.e. 30%, 40%, 50% and so on.
For myself I never did any lasers or other procedures. I just used two OTC topicals Silkia camellia oil and Epidermx Microdermabrasion to treat my pitted scarring. After over a year the pits are quite invisible. I could say it was about 90% plumped up. I'd suggest you look into these products while also trying laser, since money being no object. You can use laser speed up things but like I said before it won't get rid of the pits 100%, unless you do it I don't know how many times. You still need something on the sideline to help your skin heal from the bottom up. Good luck.
