I'm looking to buy a new laptop and I've got my eyes on two, one's an HP and the other's a Sony. Below are the main specs and prices, basically what I'd like to know is what you guys think would be a better option. Note: The price difference is of no concern to me.
HP DV6-2117 - £629.99 from Staples
- 15.6 inch screen
- Windows 7 Home Premium
- Intel Core i5
- 4GB RAM
- 500GB Hard Drive
- NVIDIA G105M
Sony VAIO EA Series - £699.99 from Argos
- 14.0 inch screen
- Windows 7 Home Premium
- Intel Core i3
- 4GB RAM
- 500GB Hard Drive
- ATI Radeon HD 5145
As you can see they aren't really different other the HP having a superior processor. What I'd like to know specifically is which graphics card is better. Please don't be alarmed, I know that Stapes and Argos aren't the best laptop retailers, but I originally discovered the HP from Comet and the Sony VAIO from PC World, I just looked around for the best prices.
