Laptop runs slow when using Flash Player?

Hi, im having some problems with my laptop when i use Windows Media Player, go on Youtube, Bebo ETC you get the picture..

I think its to do with the Flash Player, im no computer genius so please try and keep the answers as straight forward as possible

Also whenever i run these programs my laptop goes very hot..and then becomes almost un-responsive, but when im not using any programs that require flash player it runs just fine

I often run things simeultanously such as :

Windows Live Messenger
Firefox or IE
Windows media player
Youtube
Facebook

Im using Windows Vista Home Premium

I have 101GB free in my disk so i assume that isnt the problem

Any help would be appreciated thank you.
 
Well for one use firefox its better than IE and two Windows media player is a hog so find something online thats free because it won't be as hard on your computer as it.
