Laptop media player keys, helpp!?

yeah, i just moved into uni and i noticed a 'play/pause' button on the right of my laptop on the same button as 'home' and the page up has stop, page down has backtrack and end has skip track

BUT i dont know how to make it workk for the windows media playerr
someone clever plz help haha
