Laptop Issue: Sony Vaio?

I got a sony F series laptop. Model number is VPCF115FM and the laptop makes too much sound. My mom has a vaio laptop that is smaller and a older model of mine and it's quieter than mine.

Is it because of the fan? (LIke is it because of the dust in the fan? or the fan suck?)

What should I do?
