When I plug my headphones into the headphone jack on my laptop, I hear this clicking sound. I tried several different pairs of headphones and the sound still persists even when I'm not playing music/watching a DVD. I called Toshiba tech support and they said I would have to send my laptop in to fix it. Is there any other way I can fix this? Does anyone know what is the cause of the problem?

My model is the Toshiba Satellite M305D-S4840 and I've had it for less than a week. It's still under warranty but I'd rather not send it in if I can avoid it because I'm a freshman in college, I've got papers to write and research to do
