Laptop Built in Camera: For msn webcam!?

Does anybody know how i can make my lap top camera (which works on skype and on the lap top) work as a webcam? i tried the regular TOOLS > WEBCAM/ AUDIO AND VID SETUP on msn, but it doesn't work.
when i click to start it, it says "It's being used by another program or not plugged in"!
